Abby Schnabel currently lives in Ruse, Bulgaria, where she serves as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at St. Constantine Cyril the Philosopher Secondary School of European Languages.

Originally from Anacortes, Washington, Abby graduated from Yale University in May 2025, earning a double major in Global Affairs and Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies, along with an Education Studies Certificate.

Now, she is loving life in Bulgaria and, in her free time, enjoys reading and going on long walks around Ruse.

Abby is very excited to volunteer with this program and can’t wait to get to work with everyone in the community!
